Hi there,

Things are a pretty exciting at MNF right now. On one hand, voting for the best MNFer In The World 2012 opens next week, so I'm gonna be busy as a bee - bees that have been taped to a keyboard and trained to write, you understand – picking the teams for the latest and greatest players to enter the public consciousness.

Meanwhile, Gink's having a bit of an overhaul. He's doing lots of exciting new stuff: hanging out with hot new men, cooking chicken, blagging walking holidays in Thailand, attempting to infiltrate a legion of pretend vampires, and getting ready to have lasers shot into his ears for health purposes - and I can't bloody wait for you to see it all.

Hi There

Xīn Nián Kuài Lè! That's "Happy New Year!" in Chinese (I think). Yep, it was Chinese New Year this week, and it's the year of the dragon, considered to be the luckiest year in the Chinese Zodiac.

This year's dragon is the Water Dragon. In Chinese Taoism, water is representative of intelligence and wisdom.

Good fortune, intelligence, wisdom... Basically, you're in for one hell of a year if your name's on Mondays MNF Team sheet.

Good week was it? i spent some of it at the Exmouth Arms hanging out with some very posh rugby girls for a video shoot. It was a good time, arguably as good as the MNF game on monday, which would have been 100% brilliant were it not for the terrifying little dog death known as the Letzer shouting the shit at us and Josh Burns scoring a great winner......

Hi there,

My lungs are feeling liberated. Not just because I'm starting to lose the Christmas weight, and are therefore less constrained by my slightly-too-tight jumpers, but because the Arse lost yesterday & i'm playing MNF tonight. Well. Some of us. Some of us are Arsenal fans. And some of us are just too addicted to the sweet, rich caress of Thierry Henry goodness gently lapping the back of a ball like a gentle summer tide to even attempt having ago at their Messiah.

But yeah, for me, it's definitely the right decision. Totally. I'm 100% sure I've made the right choice. Even though it's good filming. We don't need it every week. No matter how cool it looks. Or how good the highlights are. That's all in the past. I'm not that person anymore.

Don’t forget the old subs marked by an X and also let me know if you cant make it as we have a few MNFers waiting in the wings…

They say that honesty is the best policy. But it isn’t. Honesty is for dicks.

Without lies or MNF, the world would quickly crumble into an undrinkably sour cocktail of offence, upset and HATE.

Without lies, every time a pal said "So what did you think of the highlights last week?" you'd say "Honestly? I thought they were shit. Actually, no, I've had shits I'd rather watch than that moronic waste of visuals," and then you wouldn't have that friend anymore. A little lie - "Yeah, it's definitely got potential mate. Maybe give it one more bash, perhaps add a bit of flash?" - and everything's hunky dory.
