Without lies or MNF, the world would quickly crumble into an undrinkably sour cocktail of offence, upset and HATE.
Without lies, every time a pal said "So what did you think of the highlights last week?" you'd say "Honestly? I thought they were shit. Actually, no, I've had shits I'd rather watch than that moronic waste of visuals," and then you wouldn't have that friend anymore. A little lie - "Yeah, it's definitely got potential mate. Maybe give it one more bash, perhaps add a bit of flash?" - and everything's hunky dory.
